After 14 months of trading, several awards under their belts, Cafe Strange Brew, 1109 Pollokshaws road closed its doors for the final time, but don’t panic! They have moved the whole operation, literally across the road to 1082 Pollokshaws Road.

The southside stalwart has now relocated to a more fit for purpose venue to deal with the hoards of hungry brunch time diners. The new venue, formally an old coop building offers more seating, and a purpose built kitchen, expanding on their culinary repertoire

Still the same excellent quality, coffee and service served from a classy new home featuring an original delft style antique tiled wall unearthed during the refurbishment, dark blue walls and a feeling of space, quite contrary to the original tiny, but cute cafe.

The Shawlands institution caters to a mixed bag, and offers a wide range of dietary requirements, so there is something for everyone. Head down at the weekend to sample some of their impressive specials, twists on traditional brunching, such as duck confit Benedict with braised cabbage and watercress hollandaise.

This award winning cafe is constantly evolving, pushing the boundaries of brunch and never resting on their laurels. Make sure to follow their Instagram to keep updated on new menus and events.
